"Art in the Maples" is an interactive festival where local artists and musicians come together and share their talents in one scenic location. Artists are invited to not only sell their work, but if possible, also set up a workspace in their area to create and demonstrate what they do, inspiring and encouraging fellow creators and our visitors. The site is under the cover of mature maples, there is lots of on-site parking and the event is FREE to attendees. Two areas for musical performances will be available, a covered main stage, as well as an area among the artists with a piano and optional hydro if needed.
Musicians will perform at a scheduled time and the list of performers and their time slot will be posted at a later date. There will also be a wellness component with massage, reiki, yoga and health & wellness products. In a peaceful and scenic environment, there will be so much to see and do, that visitors will be encouraged to bring a lawn chair and stay awhile! There is limited seating provided in front of the stage, but it fills up quickly! To round out the experience, there will be multiple food vendors on site and of course, port-a-potties.
To encourage our young budding artists to create, there will also be an art area for children! Assorted complimentary artistic projects will be on offer and this will be sponsored by Art in the Maples. If anyone would like to assist in this project with ideas and their time it would be greatly appreciated!
From the on-site parking lot located in a nearby clearing, there will be a short walking trail which visitors will follow to bring them to the actual event. There will be artwork all along the trail so that the experience begins upon arrival. There will also be handicap parking available adjacent to the event. We are also encouraging everyone interested in participating as an artist or musician to make arrangements to visit the property so we can give you a tour! The property consists of 17 acres, so there is plenty of room for expansion.
